2012-2013 Season

Timeline & Important Facts

 

  • Declaring number of teams in league
    • Tentative numbers given at September meeting by ALL associations
  • FINAL team numbers by October 18, 2012
    • If unsure of number of teams enter the lower number – better to add than withdraw teams
      1. Teams withdrawing from league after season starts will be fined.
  • SNOWBELT DIRECTORY: Representative & Scheduler contact information due to league ASAP.
    • Directory used for scheduling – distributed to all schedulers w/ league schedules.
  • League Schedules: Distributed to association schedulers by October 22, 2012
  • JAM tournament locations awarded at November meeting
    • JAM tournament dates March 1-3, 2013
  • League Games start November 2, 2012
    • Games may be played earlier if both teams agree but standings will not start until the date listed above
  • Completed league schedules returned by association schedulers to league scheduler by November 5, 2012.
    • Required on OFFICIAL USAHockey  T-1 form
    • Signatures required by ALL players, coaches, & asst. coaches
    • CNY Registrar’s signature NOT required
    • All coaches & asst. coaches MUST by carded per USAHockey rules
    • Any games played while final rosters overdue will be forfeited.
  • Interim Rosters due by November 16, 2012
    • Roster to include players, coaches, & asst. coaches
    • Not required on official USAHockey T-1 form – can be handwritten, electronic form or email
    • Any games played while interim roster overdue will be forfeited.
  • Final Rosters (Sq, Pw, & Bt) – due by December 31, 2012
    • Required on OFFICIAL USAHockey  T-1 form
    • Signatures required by ALL players, coaches, & asst. coaches
    • CNY Registrar’s signature NOT required
    • All coaches & asst. coaches MUST by carded per USAHockey rules
    • Any games played while final rosters overdue will be forfeited.
  • JAM schedules completed no later than the February 21, 2013 meeting
    • These schedules are without actual teams placed – team placement based on final standings.
  • JAM tournament rules reviewed and adopted no later than the February 21, 2013 meeting.
  • League Games completed by February 17, 2013
  • Final standings completed February 19, 2013
    • Final JAM tournament schedules completed with actual teams filled in also posted
  • League Games:
    • Home team to report league games scores on Sunday night to league scheduler (Scott Jesmore)
      1. Give complete game information: Game codes are required for all games
      2. Email (snowbeltscheduler@gmail.com) or phone in (315-383-8776) game scores
    • HOME team to mail WHITE copy of game sheet to league scheduler within 2 weeks
      1. If game sheet not received the HOME team receives forfeit.

    • Standings are done weekly
      1. Late game results will be recorded in the following weeks standings
  • JAM tournament: March 1-3, 2013
    • All players, coaches, asst’ coaches, & managers sign-in
    • All coaches & asst. coaches must show coaches card
    • Only players with signatures on the official roster are eligible to participate
    • All coaches cards will be verified prior to JAM and ineligible coaches will be notified.
